This award-winning wine is born at the foothills of the Andes,
surrounded by the spectacular “Cordón del Plata”
or Silver Mountain Chain. Here the Tupungato volcano towers
more than 3,000 feet over an incomparable landscape.
The diurnal temperature range of about 15°C (59°F)
in the summer highly promotes color and tannin development
in the grapes, which are suitable for the production of long-aging
wines, achieving optimum quality levels.
Caminito ages 12 months in French and American oak casks and
24 months in bottles.
It is dark red with purple tints turning to ruby.
Its aroma is very elegant and intense. It is a wine of remarkable
structure, with a well-balanced reminiscence of plums, morello
cherries, cherries and raspberries. It has harmonious hints
of spice-framed smoke, tobacco, blackberry and pepper.
In the mouth, the fruit flavor is intense, combining plums,
cherries and raspberries -with their characteristic sweetness-
soft tobacco and spices. Caminito finishes with sweet tannins,
typical of a Malbec with good persistence, resulting in it a
complex and distinguished wine.
